Sheepshead

SEASON

Year Round

These local favorites are best caught on nearshore rock piles January through March and are known to have a gentle bite. Homosassa holds the record for Florida's largest Sheepshead, weighing in at 15 pounds, but on average, they range between 2-5 pounds.

Cobia

SEASON

Year Round

Cobia are best targeted in April and May then again in September and October. With a minimum legal size limit of 36 inches, they are a hard-fighting fish and great fun to catch.

Hogfish

SEASON

Year Round

Hogfish are characterized by an elongated snout and mouth filled with needle-like teeth used to grab small crustaceans. They inhabit shallow waters near rocks, ledges, and reefs. A versatile fish perfect for excellent table fare.

Mangrove Snapper

SEASON

Year Round

Native to Florida’s coastal waters, Mangrove Snapper are bottom dwellers that feed primarily on crustaceans. They can weigh up to 5-6 pounds and are highly sought-after for its delicious flavor and flaky texture.

Gag Grouper

SEASON

September 1-November 10

A staple for offshore fishing, adult gag grouper can be found swimming near drop-offs, reefs, and wrecks in the cooler months. We find this species most active in 60+ feet of water, requiring heavy-duty gear to bring this catch home.

Our 27-foot SeaVee and 39-foot Yellowfin are outfitted with the latest GPS mapping and fish finder technology, as well as all the gear needed for fishing in these waters. Bring up to three passengers on the SeaVee or six people on the Yellowfin for an action-packed day with our crew.
